So Teddy's Dead...

and I just have one question about Health Care Rebuild.

Was Rush Limbaugh just being an outrageous Republican leader or was he just ahead of the curve?
Grand Klegal Robert Byrd of West Virgina seams to think it's a great idea.
In his honor and as a tribute to his commitment to his ideals, let us stop the shouting and name calling and have a civilized debate on health care reform which I hope, when legislation has been signed into law, will bear his name for his commitment to insuring the health of every American.

Nat Hentoff Got Mugged

One of my all time favorite New York writers goes screaming off the reservation.
Nat Hentoff talks about health care reform as only an old Liberty loving Jew can.

And meanwhile over at Rolling Stone Matt Taibbi says that the 31% of health care cost are Administrative. There are too many choices for you and I for insurance, so that makes it too expensive. Okay what ever.
There are too many forms FROM THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT, not private insurance dipshit. A single payer, government run system will be all peaches and cream in this asshat's world view. Luck for us he thinks its doomed.

From his shit stained mouth to G-d's ears.

Read VDH

I know I say this a lot, but please read this great point about the New Oceana, a.k.a. Obama's America.

Once again he saves the best line for the end:

George Orwell, a man of the left, warned us that freedom and truth are not just endangered by easily identifiable goose-stepping goons in jackboots. More often he felt that state collectivism would come from an all-powerful government — run by a charismatic egalitarian, promising to protect us from selfish, greedy reactionaries.

Orwell was onto something.

We have always been at war with Eastasia!

One Less Dem in 2010

Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) steps on his tiny little member. He told the Nutroots that he would vote against the interests of his own constituents. In his own words:
MASSA: So what happens in my town hall meetings frankly is important, because I am in one of the most right wing Republican districts in the country, and I’m not asking you guys to go back to wherever and send people to me. This is a generic statement of what can I do? Well that’s one thing we can do...

MASSA: I will vote for the single payer bill.

PARTICIPANT: Even if it meant you were being voted out of office?

MASSA: I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I am doing is going to be helpful.

MASSA: I will vote against their opinion if I actually believe it will help them.

So Lets hope that he people of NY District 29 will remind him of the first line from his Official Web page
As your member of Congress, my #1 priority is serving you. This is your Congressional Office and your Congressional staff and your opinion on the critical issues facing Western New York matters.

Let's hope he has a job lined-up for 2011.

The Beautiful MM Writes.

Michelle Malkin has a great piece on the continued hypocrisy of the left when they are in charge.
During the Bush years I kept hearing how dissent was the HIGHEST form of patriotism.
Any complaints from the right were met with screams of FASCIST!
Yet the White House wasn't part of the Chill Wind that we heard about on a regular basis from the Left.
Things were so bad during the Bush years that nut jobs could camp outside the entrance to the President's PRIVATE residence, and, well, nothing happened.
Things were so bad that people trashed Karl Roves PRIVATE property in a Virginia suburb and, well, again nothing.

Yes there were some people who called these protesters traitors, etc. I was one of them. But the leaders of this nation didn't tell us how to protest. Didn't call protesters evil. Yet now that the left has enough votes to jam just about anything it wants down our throats and they seem to be afraid of the protesters and other voices on the right.

They don't need our support, yet they need it because they know that if this fails the power grabs that they have in mind will slip away, and ...

So that's my rant for the day.

I Just Flag(@whitehouse.gov)ed Myself

What I sent to them.

I would like to mention that this whole idea is fishy.

“I HAPPEN TO BE A PROPONENT OF A SINGLE PAYER UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM." - Barack Obama during 2003 speech to the AFL-CIO

"I HAVE NOT PROPOSED A SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE PLAN." - Barack Obama at this week's NH Town-hall meeting.

So which is it?

Sincerely,
James F. O'Connell III

Thoughts On The News

Hey have you flag(@whitehouse.gov)'d yourself yet?

Shrilary lives up to her nickname. Damn girl listen to the question, and then ask the translator if they got that right. Wow.

Thanks To Ace

There is a story over at AOSHQ that is talking about the latest way for The Smartest President Evah to take care of the Gitmo "problem.
This was my post over there:

_Providing long-term holding cells for a small but still undetermined number of detainees who will not face trial because intelligence and counterterror officials conclude they are too dangerous to risk being freed.

Don't we already have this in place in Gitmo?
So we're going to spend millions (I know that ain't much to Obumbles and Co. but...) to build something we already have to make a couple of nutroots happy?

Do I have that right Keith Overbite?

Wow!

Sometimes you find a rant that would make Dennis Miller proud. This piece from Bill Whittle over at Pajamas TV lays out the whole Sarah Palin story, while righteously ripping both the Statists and "republicans" who were/are bashing her.

We have seen the enemy and they is us. Or at lest they think that they is us.
Let me explain. We on the right have a crapload of "leaders", most of whom think that they are leaders because they were born to the game. They went to the "best" schools and took the "best" jobs. They surround themselves with people who did the same. They listen to the same dinner party gossip and drink the same overpriced French drinks. Eventually even those with "different" political beliefs begin to say the same things, especially about politicians who didn't come from the same comfortable cocoon.
Now sometimes some of them breakout, Laura Ingraham, Justice Clarence Thomas and John "The Stash" Bolton. But these bright lights are few and far between.
We need to vet our "leaders" better.
Remind them that they are not our betters, that they are in most cases our lessers. And remind them that the founders were not fond of the type of oligarchy that they have imposed on us. And wish to keep imposing.

Read and be inspired. Good Day!

Thank You Tom Watson

for giving me two great Open's in my life time.
Yes back in '77 I was cheering for the other guy, I do wish you had won this one too.
Well at least it was won by a great golfer with a great family.

Again. Thank you.

p.s. this was my all time favorite Open winner

Posted This On Ace.

Unless that happens, better to try to change the party from the inside.
Guys this is how the left over took the Dems. They moved in bit by bit and eventually, well you see what happened. I know because I had a signed copy of "Rules For Radicals", I worked for numerous political groups that worked were all about influence. I came over from the dark side and I see the chance to save the Conservative movement is to fight the Statists with their own words and deeds.
So are we going to learn from them or run around like headless chickens waiting to drop dead?

Ok So Maybe She Ain't Dead.

Sarah Cuda lays out the Dims "Cap and Tax" with the precision of a laser guided missile.
She hits the usual points and gives the Right a much needed extra voice in this fight. The fact that the Republican leadership has been stone silent on this issue is mind blowing! There should be a daily presser to keep this issue (along with HealthCare "reform") on the front burner.
Yeas I know the LSM will not carry these pressers, but who gives a rats hairy?
The news will get out there thanks to Laura I, Mark Levin, Rush, Jerry Doyle, and Dennis Miller. Add the true belivers in the blog-o-shere and voila, instant pissed off voters...

Well I leave you with this just as She said it today in the the WaPo:

For so many reasons, we can't afford to kill responsible domestic energy production or clobber every American consumer with higher prices.

Can America produce more of its own energy through strategic investments that protect the environment, revive our economy and secure our nation?

Yes, we can. Just not with Barack Obama's energy cap-and-tax plan.

The Sara-Cuda Bites Us.

So Gov Palin is stepping down. And I have one question.
How the F*** does this help anyone.
Yes I still love her, and will keep the links on the right that go to her and her friends, but I'm pissed.
And unlike some nuts on the right I'm not pissed at anyone on our side who may have been ambivalent about her 3 years early. I'm pissed at the shitheads on the left who kept sniping at her long after "they won."
I'm also pissed at her.
Yes.
Why?
Because she is quiting way too early. This will keep her from being a serious candidate in 2012. You can not run for a high pressure job if you are giving up before the end of your term for a less stressful job.
The LameStreamMedia will not let the voters forget.

Well there is my rant.
I'm sure that somewhere down the road I'll change my mind 7 or 8 more times.
Stay tuned!

Thugs And The Won

Another wonderful smack down of the Won's foreign policy (or lack there of) from Victor Davis Hanson.
He show how each time Obama has tried to kiss up to thugs on the world stage he gets slapped.

The Great Listener is in the White House and:

"But so far the world's thugs do not seem to appreciate that new goodwill. Intelligence reports indicate that North Korea's Kim Jong-Il is planning to launch a ballistic test missile in the direction of Hawaii between July 4 and July 8. Russia's Vladimir Putin would like to replace the dollar as the global currency.

Most recently, Obama kept relatively silent for a week after the fraudulent Iranian election and the ensuing government crackdown against protestors. He was apparently worried about offending Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the mullahs above him who truly run the country — and thereby making it more difficult to negotiate once the resistance was put down."

This is lost in the echo chanber that is the LameStream Media.
"Obama is doing great things."
"All of these problems are the fault of Bush."
"Yada Yada Ya."

He gives a rundown of the things that soemone should do when comfronted with thugs.
He does it in such a way that even a troll could understand. If they could read.

He ends with this:

"So, Mr. President, do not talk to a thug unless you absolutely have to. Do not apologize to — or put our trust in — one. And whenever people rise up against a thug, speak out immediately and forcefully on their behalf — and let the thug, not America, worry about the consequences of the spread of freedom."

I wish I could have said this, but then again I'm not VDH.
Thank G-d someone is.

Tyranny V. Liberty

Mark Levin's new book "Liberty and Tyranny" is amazing.
I'm about halfway thru and well I can't wait to finish it and start reading it again.
He presents the issues that divide the Conservative from the Statist (his word, and now my word) with facts and true black and white differences.
There is no wiggle room.
Quote / UnQoute Conservatives who support the power of the state over the individual are given a backhand with the facts.
The Constition is his framework and he keeps showing how since FDR the Statists has added more and more power, while the Original Intent of the Constition is lost.

I'll let you know what I think when I'm done, but I don't see a major turnabout in my love of this book so far.

On Third Parties And 8 Traitors.

I just posted this hatefilled screed on Ace.

Then be prepared for 40 more years o Donk leadership.

Get over it guys, this is a two party nation. We can't win with third parties because the rules to get on the ballot vary State by State.
Fix the Reublican party, tell your RINO friends to get the Fuck out and join the Donks. Tell RINO leaders to pull a Specktor and get the Fuck out.
If this leaves a smaller party, so be it. Better a small party that believes in something then a midsized collection of shelfish bastards.
I know, "But jimmythestupidlurkingleg, if we have a small party how is that any different than a third party that only alows people from east bumfuck to vote for it?"
It's different because there is a national oranization, and there is an AoSHq.

I also sent tis to Mike Steele in responce to a spammail about cap and trade that I recieved AFTER the vote was done/

My Democrat Rep did what was expected after they pulled him out of rehab.
But I'm more upset at the 8 members of my party who voted with the Dems for this horror show.
I hope (no make that demand) that the party punish these 8 for crimes against the economy and the future of freedom in this nation.
We need Republicans who will stand with the people not with special interests and "friends" in the Beltway.

Please let these RINO's know they have upset many a loyal Consevative Republican.

That is all.

Thank you

Spread The Word

Yesterday I was talking to a customer who is an avowed liberal.

We were talking about education, and DC schools in particular.
I told him about the budget cuts for charter schools in DC and how classmates of the Won's were being affected. He asked why they didn't just ask the Won to fix it.
When I told him they did, but still nothing happened he seemed shocked.
He asked where I got my info. I told him Fox and Ace, he just seemed to brush it off as typical "rightwing crap", but he said he wanted to talk about this later, so...

Now if this drop of truth can get him to look at the world with a less leftist eye, then I'm happy.
Let's see where this goes. I'll keep you informed.

Iran

The whole world is watching. And unlike Chicago '68 this is the real deal.
Check out Winston over at Spirit of Man for reports from the front.

Iran is on the verge of doing what should have been done years ago.

May G-d be with them.

while typing this I wrote "what should have been done ears ago". I must have been thinking abot how long it took Bambi to say the right things, snark

28 May 2009

What If I Said That?

Sonia Sotamjore has told us that her life story makes her inherantly smarter than any while male.

If I said my version of that , I would be the bad guy, the evil racist white guy. But hey what do I know...

26 May 2009

There'll Be No Borking Tonight.

So O'Bambi has choosen "the first hispanic woman, evah" to sit on SCOTUS.
Sonia Sotomayor a woman who believes that "minorities" are inherantly smarter than non-minorities. In other words she is smarter than me just because she is a hispanic female, well DUH! Of course that's true. I'm just a stupic white male conservative who believes that someone who wants to "interpret the Constitution wisely" is a dangerous harpy.
The Constitution is not a living breathing document, it is a blueprint for running the greatest Republic the world has ever seen, and yet it is being turned into a springboard for Judicial Activists and others who have grievences that they can't fix in Legislation or by Executive order.
There is a way to change the world folks, and the Courts are not that way. Read the Constitution. Read the Constitution and start working to stop this train wreck.
I forsee no Borking here.
Which is a shame.
Because even if she is just replacing another usless Lefty vote on the court. Her opinions will be read over at the MSM as great works of judicial briliance. Those who do not pay attention will just nod their heads and think "what a wise and wonderful man our President is for giving us this great Judicial light." To quote any old Jewish Grandmother, "FHEYH"

G-d help the USA.

Star Trek Rocked!

Well that really does just say it all.
The cast was perfect and had the tones of the original cast down.
It will be worth all the money that I plan on spending to see it a couple of more times.

PS Obambi would have been a red shirt in this universe.

28 April 2009

Hey Liddy Dole...

Thanks. Also kudos to GW Bush, the PA Repub party and everyone in PA who didn't vote for Pat Toomey the last time he ran.

Now with SPEKTOR on the proper side of the aisle, we know longer have to worry about those pesky Republicans slowing down the glorious march to the Future that Our Dear Leader has us on.

Next stop Missing Linc Chaffee as Governor of RI.

Race And Stupidity

Hey there clown boy.
I'm not talking about the performance artists with the clown hair who threw red foam noses at Iraninan President for Life Ahnajihadinutjob. I'm calling out the asshat who decided that having this racist piece of shit speak on April 20th was a great idea.
In case you are not sure of the reasons for this being a fucked-up date choice, think about the other big news story here in America yesterday.
It has been 10 years since two nut jobs wandered into Colombine High School and killed 13 students. These two, who as far as I'm concerned should have remained nameless, chose April 20 because of a particular birhtday boy for that day.
Adolph Fuckin Hitler (I'm pretty sure that was his whole name)
So great job UN in giving a Jew hating nut job a forum on the birth day of another Jew hating nut job.

To quote Vic over at AOSHQ, "Can we leave the UN NOW?"

10 March 2009

VDH Hits Us Hard.

And we better learn to like it.

VDH lays it at our own feet.

Here is a brief chunk of the smack down.

Conservatives created Barack Obama and his vision of the Europeanization of America, and so have themselves to blame for the current recessional, as the present as we have known it fades into the past..

Let me explain. Yes, I know that the 2000-01 recession, Hurricane Katrina, two wars, and a $1 trillion hit after 9/11 made fiscal discipline hard. But being a conservative in America these days is hard — and one gets very little leeway or second chances. Not disowning a Ted Stevens and instead pointing to a Charles Rangel or John Murtha or William Jefferson is fatal for a conservative. (We expect such things from a promiscuous spender, but cannot tolerate it from a professed budget hawk.

Pillars of wisdom

The pillar of conservatism is fiscal responsibility.

Why? Balancing budgets and saying no to always expanding government, first, is a moral issue. Just as the individual does not borrow from others to satisfy his own appetite, does not consume what he does not earn, so too government should not spend what the nation has not produced. The conservative, as the custodian of ancient morality, must remind the populace of the thriftiness of our ancestors that explains the bounty we inherited. If not he, who will say that life is not fair, that human nature is predictable and thus tragic, that in our brief corporal lives we can guarantee an equality of rough opportunity but hardly mandate an equality of absolute result — since we are mere mortals, not gods?

(Bold Emp. is Mine)
Please read the whoel thing.

Doing The Demodorks Job For Them.

Will everyone please just SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SIT THE FUCK DOWN!
This ratings grap battle between the MahaRushie and the Republican Party is just what Axelrod and Carville want.
Their friends in the Media are helping throw gas on the fire. Because it is fun to destroy the Republicans and it is even more fun to get viewers.
Everytime SOME BONEHEAD WASHINGTON PARTY GOING REPUBLICAN LEADER attacks Rush, the media sharks swarm. Just waiting for Limbaugh to say something inflamitory about the party. And being Rush he gives them what they want. He then follows it with an attack on the President, but the facts in that attack are lost in the media fire storm.
Then they can run around and call him a party leader, and show how the greatly unified Democrat party has so much more to offer than those CRAZY RUSH LEAD REPUBLICANS.

So lets just let calmer heads prevail as I repeat...

STFU/STFD

This is not to say that Rush is wrong, it is just that I wish someone else could carry the Comservative message to a wider audience. My person monies are on Dennis Miller, if he could just get out there even more.

Good bye for now.

Stole This From A Friend

I'm sure you've already seen this email, but...

The pending stimulus package explained........................

Sometime this year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format

"Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
"A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

"Q. Where will the government get this money?
"A. From taxpayers.

"Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
"A. No, they are borrowing it from China. Your children are expected to repay the Chinese.

"Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
"A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

"Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?
"A. Shut up."

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely

If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

If you spend it on gasoline it will go to Hugo Chavez, the Arabs and Al Queda

If you purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan.

If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala (unless you buy organic).

If you buy a car it will go to Japan and Korea.

If you purchase prescription drugs it will go to India

If you purchase heroin it will go to the Taliban in Afghanistan

If you give it to a charitable cause, it will go to Nigeria.

And none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America. You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it on prostitutes, beer (domestic ONLY), or tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the US.

Take care.

Favorite Words For The Junior Senator From Illinios.

Sen (for now) Roland Burris told the media that he has been "transparent" throughout this entire BlogoRama mess.

President Oboma has told us from jump street that his administration would be "transparent".

To quote Diego Montoya

"I do mot think that word means what you think it means."

Thank you one again to The Princess Bride for giving me things to say.

I'm Waiting...

for the recovery that will be slow and painfull.
Wha???
I thought if we elected HopeyChangeyMessiahMan we would all have a bright and glorious future. No???
Oh well it's a good thing our kids won't have to ...
Wha???
Our kids too?

On a serious note.

As a teen in the mid-late Seveties, I remember a Moaist friend of mine telling me that we would be the first American Generation to not have it better than our parents. Lucky for us after Jimmah (massive Failure) Carter the Reagan years put the economy on something of an up swing. The late bommers did okay, and so did the kids born after us.
BUT now we are looking a a massive debt that will destroy the hopes dreams and savings accounts of the youth of today.

This is a dark time in America, but if we just run and hide and say it is too late, we give those who put us here even more power. Stop saying it is too late, stop saying that it is over, stop saying that the elections are oo far away and that America is doomed before that. Do something. Get involved. Keep reading. Keep asking questions and don't just listen to one point of view. There are many good men and women out there putting out the facts, just spend some time looking for them.
We will survive, and that will be our best revenge.

Not Just No, But HELL NO!!!

Newsweak cover says
We Are All Socialists Now

Thank you, Jon Meacham and Evan Thomas, for telling me what I believe.

Oh, and by the way, FUCK OFF!

A quick political bio, so that you will understand why I feel the way I do

I grew up in a Democratic house. First JFK'S and then LBJ's photo's hung in out dinning room. For one more week after Jan. 20, 1969 the big Texan stared at me from the wall while I ate dinner.
My personal politics moved slowly leftward, spured on by my moderate parents and their insistance that I study what I believed in and why.
Even when they hated my world view, they gave me room to fasten my own rope, as long as I thought about what I believed and didn't just jump willy nilly after the trends of the day.
I moved more and more leftward until I reached a point where I hated nearly everything that America stood for, and lived in utter paranoia about "the coming dark days under Reagan."
My hate for all things American got so bad that I remember saying that Leon Klingoffer deserved a bullet to the forehead, because he was a BUSINESS MAN! He was part of the ruling elite. Those words began to haunt me (they stil do) until I began to seriously question why I believed what it was that I belived in.
My parents had told me to think everyting through, and I finally started to do that. It wasn't until the Clinton years (damn I was thick-headed!) that I realized how wrong I had been.
As I looked I came to belive, that this Great Nation was not and never should be a utopia based on "what can you do for me", but a nation of people who ask "what can I do for you, and how can we work together on this."
I'm sure my parents would not be mad at my being a Coservative Republican now (well as long as I still never say nice things about RMN), but I know that having once been a Socialist, I say once again to the Fuckheads at Newsweek.

NOT JUST NO, BUT HELL NO!!!!!!

10 February 2009

Leadership????

Some Lowlights from Barry's opening screed

What it does not contain, however, is a single pet project, not a single earmark, and it has been stripped of the projects members of both parties found most objectionable.

HA!!!

Now despite all of this, the plan's not perfect. No plan is. I can't tell you for sure that everything in this plan will work exactly as we hope, but I can tell you with complete confidence that a failure to act will only deepen this crisis, as well as the pain felt by millions of Americans.

My administration inherited a deficit of over $1 trillion,
(So whats 8 Trillion more down the road?) but because we also inherited the most profound economic emergency since the Great Depression, doing little or nothing at all will result in ever -- (even The NYT's transcript can't make this duffous sound smart) even greater deficits, even greater job loss, even greater loss of income and even greater loss of confidence.

Those are deficits that could turn a crisis into a catastrophe, and I refuse to let that happen. As long as I hold this office, I will do whatever it takes to put this economy back on track and put this country back to work.

So my question is this, how is 7.6% unemployment the same as 33%?
Yes things are really bad, a crapload of my friends are un or under employed. But running around like a chicken in a childrens story will not help.

Also as this chart show the unempoyment figures for the early 80's were worse than what we are facing now!

Yes we need to do something but direct tax cuts and smaller spending plans are far better than this giant Federal Black Hole of Debt that three generations hence will still be paying for.

But it looks like those wonderfull RINO's from Maine and Arty Specktor, are going to help out the MOST CLUELESS MAN TO EVER SIT IN THE WHITE HOUSE, and that includes Jimmah Carter.

06 February 2009

Can This Party Be Saved?

Probably not, but let's try something.

What we need is to do to the Republican party is what the Left started in the 80's to the Dem party.

Infiltrate from below.

Get on committees that make decisions for the party.

Work on the planning groups that set up the future of the party.

There are no more conservative Dems left, they have been tossed out by the same people who got The One into the White House.

We can do this, if we have the balls to do it.

05 February 2009

500 Million

"San Fran Nan is an f'ing idiot."

That would be what we would have heard if the letter capitalized next to her name was R.
Can you imagine if Sara of GWB had said that there were 500 million people layed off each month in a nation of 300 million.
But, if you are part of the ruling elite...

The media lets her lie repeatly and she is still the botox queen of the left.

03 February 2009

BYE BYE

Hey Tom don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Two freakin weeks and the hits just keep on comming.

The Most...

Ethical Administration ever strikes again.

From The New York Times:

Mr. Daschle’s tax shortfall is particularly troubling because it comes on the heels of another nominee’s failure to pay taxes due. We were not pleased when the president’s Treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner, admitted that he had failed to pay tens of thousands of dollars in federal self-employment taxes while working for the International Monetary Fund despite having signed paperwork acknowledging the obligation.

Now we are confronted with an even larger lapse by Mr. Daschle, who failed to pay $128,000 in taxes, primarily for personal use of a car and driver provided to him by a private equity firm for which he consulted. Although the firm — headed by a major Democratic donor — had not issued a form 1099 for the value of the car service, Mr. Daschle said he became concerned last June that he might owe taxes on it and instructed his accountant to investigate. Neither was concerned enough to actually pay the taxes.

... Only after he had been chosen to be the health secretary did Mr. Daschle tell the transition team about the unpaid taxes. He paid some $140,000 in back taxes and interest on Jan. 2 to settle several tax problems — and he acknowledges owing more.

In both the Geithner and Daschle cases, the failure to pay taxes is attributed to unintentional oversights. But Mr. Daschle is one oversight case too many. The American tax system depends heavily on voluntary compliance. It would send a terrible message to the public if we ignore the failure of yet another high-level nominee to comply with the tax laws.

Mr. Daschle’s financial ties to major players in the health care industry may prove to be even more troublesome as health reform efforts proceed. Like many former power players in Washington, Mr. Daschle cashed in on his political savvy and influence to earn $5 million in recent years, including more than $2 million from Alston & Bird, a law and lobbying firm; more than $2 million from the private equity firm, InterMedia Advisors, which provided the car and driver; and hundreds of thousands of dollars for speeches to interest groups, including those representing health insurance plans, medical equipment distributors and pharmacy boards.

Mother Of A Merciless God

Just saw this over at Jonas' Liberal Fascism blog.

All hail our Lord and master.

What I really want to say to all those readers of the FREEP (a.k.a. the Detroit "Rock City" Free Press) comes from Captain Happy, circa 1993.

"Sit down you 60's F'ing COMMIE!"

Stimulte This!

So the very important plan to save America is going to the Pork (not the good kind) loving US Senate.

Well maybe before it gets voted on we can get some answers to some timeless questions,

Now To Keep Up The Fight.

The House Republicans have given Barry no love, or comfort.

By refusing to sign on to this Pork-U-Lous bill they have given the left the full bill to pay when the shit hits the fan.

Thank G-d, because the shit will hit, and then the 2010 elections will show the American people who really wants to help get us out of this mess.

Stand firm, call your Senators and keep your children safe by fighting this Pile Of Crap bill.

I Pledge

To be the best damn member of the loyal opposition.
To get my act together and post more than every 12 weeks.
To get to know the other blogers that don't make my head spin.
To read what The One says he will do and not just listen to what the media says he will do (this includes el Rushbo).
To never do another one of these stupid "I pledge" pieces.
To give you this.
