He's not conservative enough.
What I mean by that is that the Left wants it's enemies easily blamed and pointed to.
The don't want freedom, they want people that they can blame for "the lack of freedom" that they say exists in a capitalist world.
I realize that some people may disagree with this following statement, but...
I believe that the Left is upset that they were able to stop Judge Bork, all those years ago.
They need "bogeymen" or in reality strawmen who they can build up and then tear down as they see fit.
Can you imagine what the political ads for Gore and then Kerry would have been like if they could have kept showing Bork on the SCOTUS, and raised the Spector (pun intended) of more judges like him.
